The Bone Marrow Donor Registry in Cyprus, with more than 100,000 registered volunteer donors, has the highest per capita ratio of donors in the world. On 3 February, they were honored at the Presidential Palace in Nicosia.

On Monday, 3 February a dinner in honor of the bone marrow donors in Cyprus was organized by the Karaiskakio Foundation, the founder and operator of The Cyprus Bone Marrow Donor Registry. Almost 300 guests attended the event, that was held at the Presidential Mansion in Nicosia in the presence of H.E. Mr. N. Anastasiadis, the President of the Republic of Cyprus.

The Cyprus Bone Marrow Donor Registry is a recipient of Norway Grants, and Ambassador Larsen attended the event.
